Managing Your Subscription

Control your Diaform subscription with flexible options for upgrading, changing billing periods, updating payment methods, and more.

Upgrading Your Plan#

To upgrade to a paid plan or switch to a higher-tier plan:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Billing in your dashboard
  2. Select the plan you want to upgrade to
  3. You'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout
  4. Complete the payment process
  5. Your new features unlock immediately

Upgrades take effect immediately upon successful payment.

Switching Billing Periods#

You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time:

  1. Click Manage subscription in Settings → Billing
  2. This opens the Stripe billing portal
  3. Select your preferred billing period
  4. Confirm the change

Annual billing saves 17–21% compared to monthly billing.

Updating Payment Method#

To update your credit card or add backup payment methods:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Manage subscription
  3. You'll be taken to the Stripe billing portal
  4. Update your card details or add additional payment methods
  5. Save your changes

Your updated payment method will be used for all future charges.

Viewing Invoices#

All your invoices are available in the Stripe billing portal:

  1. Click Manage subscription in Settings → Billing
  2. Navigate to the billing history section
  3. Download PDF invoices for your accounting records

Invoices are generated automatically for each billing cycle.

Promotion Codes#

Diaform supports promotion codes during checkout:

  1. When redirected to Stripe Checkout, look for the promotion code field
  2. Enter your code
  3. The discount will be applied to your subscription

Promotion codes must be entered during the checkout process.

Cancelling Your Subscription#

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Manage subscription
  3. Select Cancel subscription in the billing portal
  4. Confirm the cancellation

Cancelling your subscription doesn't delete your data. You'll keep access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to post-trial limits (6 questions per conversation instead of 10). All your data will remain intact.

What Happens After Cancellation#

  • You retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
  • After the billing period ends, your questions per conversation limit is reduced to 6 (other limits remain the same as Starter)
  • All your projects, responses, and data remain accessible
  • You can resubscribe to any plan at any time

Reactivating Your Subscription#

If you cancelled your subscription and want to resubscribe:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Select your desired plan
  3. Complete the checkout process
  4. Your paid features will be restored immediately

Subscription Changes Timeline#

  • Upgrades: Take effect immediately upon payment
  • Plan switches: Take effect immediately
  • Billing period changes: Take effect at the next billing cycle
  • Cancellations: Take effect at the end of the current billing period

All subscription management is handled securely through Stripe, our payment processor.
