Usage & Credits
Diaform tracks response collection at the organization level. Your Settings -> Billing page shows the active billing model and remaining usage for your workspace.
AI Message Billing#
Diaform organizations use AI message billing.
An AI message is one successful assistant response during an interview. Respondent messages do not consume credits by themselves. If Diaform reserves a message credit but the assistant response fails before producing content, that credit is refunded.
Included AI messages renew monthly. For example, if your plan includes 1,500 AI messages per month, the included balance resets to that amount each month. Annual billing changes how often you pay, not the monthly usage renewal cadence.
Top-Up Credits#
Organizations can buy additional AI messages from Settings -> Billing.
- Top-ups are available from the Standard plan and above.
- Each pack adds 1,500 AI messages for $89.
- Top-up credits do not expire on subscription renewal.
- Included plan messages are used first. Top-up credits are only used after included messages reach zero.
- Top-up credits are not available for legacy conversation-billed organizations.
What Happens When Usage Runs Out#
If an organization has no remaining usage:
- Public interview links stop collecting new responses.
- Published projects may still exist in your dashboard, but respondents cannot continue until usage is available again.
To resume collection, upgrade your plan, wait for the next renewal, or buy a top-up if your organization is eligible.
Where to Check Usage#
You can check usage in Settings -> Billing for remaining included credits, top-up credits, projects, and seats.
Usage charts follow the billing model of the organization.
