Slack Integration

Connect Slack to receive real-time notifications when automations trigger during interviews.

The Slack integration enables Diaform to send notifications to a Slack channel when automation rules fire during interviews. This keeps your team instantly informed when important events occur, such as a customer mentioning a critical issue or expressing strong satisfaction.

What You'll Receive#

When an automation triggers, Diaform sends a message to your connected Slack channel containing:

  • The trigger type that fired
  • Relevant user quotes from the conversation
  • Context about the conversation

This allows your team to take immediate action on time-sensitive feedback.

Connecting Slack#

Navigate to your project's edit page and select the Integrations tab.

Click the Connect Slack button.

You'll be redirected to Slack's OAuth consent screen. Select the workspace and channel where notifications should be sent.

Click Authorize to grant Diaform permission to post messages.

You'll be redirected back to Diaform with the connection confirmed. Your Slack integration is now active.

Slack connections are configured per-project. This means different projects can post notifications to different channels, giving you full control over where each project's alerts appear.

Enabling Slack Notifications in Automations#

Connecting Slack is the first step. To actually receive notifications, you need to enable "Send Slack message" in your automation's First Action:

  1. Go to the Actions tab in your project
  2. Create or edit an automation
  3. In the First Action section, enable Send Slack message
  4. Configure your trigger conditions as needed

Now when that automation fires during an interview, a notification will be sent to your connected Slack channel.

Disconnecting Slack#

To remove the Slack integration:

  1. Go to the Integrations tab in your project
  2. Click Disconnect Slack

The connection will be removed immediately, and notifications will stop being sent to that channel.
